Austin Kim, alias ShighGuy, is the founder of QWERK.e, a furniture company based in Los Angeles. He has many talents and passions which include, photography, videography, product design, and graphic design. His main focus is on product design. Austin is graduating from Otis College of Art and Design, where he is receiving a BA for product design in 2020. 

 

Throughout college, he completed multiple internships with an up and coming fashion brand called Konus. He shot models for FW19 and SS20 and was the e-commerce merchandise curator.  It was in this capacity that he was able to shoot music videos for Kato, a member of Shoreline Mafia, Ashya, Sol the Wise, and Swimcoach. Soon afterward, his expanding expertise in graphic design led to him becoming one of the main on-site graphic designers for Ecosys, a reputable clothing company that has been a favorite of major rappers like Cardi B and Offset. He later launched his own project that he was working on for school into a furniture brand called QWERK.e, where he began his specialization in custom trash cans and pillbox designs.
